A six-car Swindon Inter-City (79xxx series) DMU at Carrick Knowe in its approach to the Haymarket stop of its Glasgow Queen Street - Edinburgh Waverley journey. Circa 1958. British Railways.

Two three-car Met-Camm sets have a Class 131 (presumably 55015 due to the small yellow panel) and a wagon on the rear when seen at Carrick Knowe on the outskirts of Edinburgh on 21/5/71. Believed to be a service from Stirling. GM Staddon.
